Definition
Moving a question means allocating it to another product and/or area. Technically speaking, moving is changing the values of the Product and Area fields in a question’s database record.
Usage
Questions are moved when initial product and/or area assignment is not correct. This is especially related to areas since customer’s issues classification not always coincides with the support team’s internal conventions.
Questions may be moved individually (described below) or collectively.
Procedure
Mark the question in the list and press the Move button or access the question’s detail view page and press the Move button.
In the move page, you can view the complete up-to-date discussion thread. Use the move form elements in the following way:
- Change the question’s Product in the Product field;
- Change the question’s Area in the Area field;
To save your note, press the Submit button.
Automatic email notifications are generated according to notification settings when applicable.
